Plan ahead this winter to make sure you and your family avoid slips, trips and falls on our driveway or walkway. In addition to full-service snow removal, Worry Free Snowblowing also offers season-long delivery of our premium ice-melter. Don’t venture out into the elements for anything you shouldn’t have to this winter and let Worry Free’s ice busters look after you.
How does it work?
You can order your initial starter kit including the full 5-gallon bucket at the beginning of the season and our crews will deliver it right to your door. During the winter, as you get closer to the bottom of our bucket, simply log-on and order your refill and we’ll make sure your kit gets its refill on their next delivery run. All orders submitted by Sunday should be delivered by the following Wednesday, though this is subject to change depending on demand. Prices include exchange and delivery of filled buckets. Limited quantities available, order yours today!
Hang on to your bucket until the following season, and you’ll be able to simply order your refill to start the season!
What is Premium Ice Melter?
This is treated salt which is coated in performance-enhancing calcium chloride and magnesium chloride to improve the effectiveness of each application, above and beyond basic driveway salt. We also like this option as it works at lower temperatures than a traditional salt product and is easy to see where you have applied it to your property.

When do you deliver?
We will typically deliver buckets on Tuesdays and Thursdays but will increase delivery if demand requires it.
What happens when I run out?
Simply purchase a refill through the website or call our office at 613-837-4556 and we will deliver a new full bucket of ice melter on the next delivery run.
Do I get to keep the bucket?
Yes, you keep the bucket and any remaining ice melter. That way, you can just purchase a refill next season instead of having to purchase a new starter kit.
Will the Ice Melter freeze?
Salt and ice melter can freeze, especially if they get wet. Ensure the lid is fully closed to keep the ice melter dry and free from freezing.
How much does the 5-gallon bucket hold?
The 5-gallon bucket holds 53-55 lbs of salt, so while we say 50lbs on the product description, you are likely getting a few extra lbs for free!
What is premium Ice Melter?
Ice Melter or treated salt is basic rock salt coated with performance-enhancing liquids like calcium chloride and magnesium chloride to enhance the performance. The addition of liquids produces a high-performance de-icer that has more advantages than rock salt. Most of the solid de-icers are mixed with liquids to enhance performance.
